I'm a long time gamer: first cards and the usual classics and board games, then RPGs, party games and lots of partnership cards. Then sometime around 2006 I discovered designer games. Euros are my favorite, but I'll try most anything once, except war games. I avoid games with head-to-head conflict like the plague. I love to teach games to people. It gives me almost the same thrill as teaching them how to use computers and technology. I often write about games, too - part of that teaching thing I guess - explaining how they play so you can get a better idea of what to expect. I find box blurbs generally do a poor job of this. In December 2014 I launched this blog, The Glass Meeple, to provide a single place where gamers could search and read all of the Game Reviews and Run-Throughs I'd written. Before that, most of my game reviews appeared only in my game store's newsletter, Here Be Books & Games News (since April 2013), or very occasionally I would take the time to post them on Board Game Geek.
