Action Point (AP) Allowance System is a game mechanic used in board games. Players are allotted a certain amount of points per round that they can spend to perform available actions. This mechanic gives players a lot of freedom to execute their options.

Pandemic is an example of a game that uses this mechanic. In Pandemic, players are given 4 action points to be allocated among several actions: move, treat disease, build a research station, find a cure, use a special ability, etc.
